For all of you grew up watching the sitcom, Cheers..  The show always began with the theme song, “Making your way in the world today takes everything you got…lalalaalalala..ending with ..you want to go where everybody knows your name”.   Watts on Tap is quaintessentially a home away from home.  It’s a cozy neighbourhood bar, and the owner/staff/customers all are on a first name bases.  If it’s your first time visiting, it won’t be long before you too will be inducted.

The bar is owned by a Canadian, and the staff is also foreigners.  The clientel is mostly made-up of a younger  foreign crowd as well ( a lot of Canadian English teachers).

Opening hours:
6pm-2am Sunday-Wednesday
6pm until the last person goes home on weekends
02)-3142-8439

Direction:  I find this place a little difficult to find.  A lot of turns before you’ll spot it.

52-84 3/Flr. Changcheon-dong Seoul (Sinchon station exit 2). Try to find Starbucks. Then look up for the bar sign.

I do not advise visiting this bar. It is in a hard to get location. You are much better visiting the Itaewon region. A nice Canadian bar like the Rocky Mountain Tavern has a pretty good atmosphere.
Sean Watts has the attitude of spreading the truth a little about his busines and financial affairs.<

I am not here to pass a judement on Watts on Tap. It’s none of the customers’ buziness whether the owners are having a financial difficulty or not. From the sound of it, there seems to be a rivalry bwtn Watts on Tap and Rocky Mountain Tavern. But If I had to choose one over the other, I prefer Watts on Tap. I was booted out of Rocky Mtn Tavern for not having my ID and was racially profiled since I am a Korean-American. None of my 5 caucasian friends were asked to present theirs. JG
