Huacachina, Peru

The Daily Mail in the UK featured an awe inspiring photograph of the town of Huacachina, Peru. Located in the southern region of the country, Huacachina is known for its oasis which is rumored to have mystical powers to help recirculation and rheumatism. Additionally, the town is popular with sandboarders and dune buggy riders.

Yep, I’ve been there. I don’t know about the magical powers of the water. I heard they have to maintain the water quantity artificially these days so it wouldn’t all be the original oasis water anymore. Sandboarding is great fun, but after 2 hours of dragging yourself back up the hill, you’ll be exhausted, trust me.
