Shinsa dong is the latest upcoming fashionable district. A great little cafes and trendy restaurants and bars can be found here which includes Cafe 6:02min. I would advise to take a cab. Not a walking distance from either Apgujeong or Sinsa Station. It’s just south of Han River off of Hannam Day-gyo (Bridge) west of Apgujeong station.
For those who are socially conscious about the coffee bean price fixing, they serve free traded coffee.
Taxi: Shinsa-dong, Hyundai (Go-Dung Huck Gyo=Elementary School) which is the black star marked on the map across from GS-25. The neighborhood is across the street from the school.

Mr. people’s DJ, Carl Cox, needs no formal introduction. He has been countlessly rated as the best of the best in the electronic music industry and also by the fans. As one of the most seeked out and well traveled DJs in the world as his popularity has been continuously rising over last 15 years or so, we seoulites are blessed to be graced by his presence for the upcoming New Year Eve bash on December 31 at Coex, Indian Hall in Gangam. It will be hosted by the promotor http://www.riskei.co.kr/ . but no information has been posted on the site yet. As of now, it’s only listed on Carl Cox’s personal site http://www.carlcox.com/. You can also check out www.amonly.com, carl cox’s booking agency, for possible further info as well.
Personal note: Over the last 9 years, I have seen Mr Cox play in Berlin, Detroit, Chicago, Munich, and Seoul (he was here in late 2005) and he never fails to deliever. His music may not be most innovative or technologically sophisticated, but it holds his special magical potion of a feel good, let your hair down vibe that first gets your finger tapping, head bobbing, and then your whole body busting out moves that you never knew you even had. It’s a religious experience that no one should miss out on!!
