The Daily Mail in the UK featured an awe inspiring photograph of the town of Huacachina, Peru. Located in the southern region of the country, Huacachina is known for its oasis which is rumored to have mystical powers to help recirculation and rheumatism. Additionally, the town is popular with sandboarders and dune buggy riders.

When I was in Portland, I went a show at the Crystal Ballroom. The floor is on springs!
The Japanese Garden is one of the best that I’ve ever been to.
I don’t know if your friend likes microbrews, but the Bridgeport Brewery has a great brewpub in the Warehouse district.
I love Portland.

Foreign food is readily available in Korea, but may there be a warning that many restaurants haven’t mastered the art of catering to our foreigners’ palettes. Taxi: Though Seoul is a major cosmopolitian city, the taxis are reasonably affordable. For about 5-8 minute cab ride, expect to pay about 2,500-3,300 won, which is equivalent of $2.90.
